Break Up Spells

Break up spells would fall under the category of black magic love spells, but I figured they needed a page to themselves since they are different from the usual “make someone love you” kind of love spell. At any rate, this is a page for break up spells, where you’re trying to use witchcraft to help break up a relationship (other people or your own).

Oh, are you looking for spells to fix a break-up? Try the love spells page (scroll toward the bottom) or specifically the page on getting your ex back.

Turn the Page

This is a break-up spell intended to help break up your own relationship. It sets the stage for both of you to realize that it’s time to move on, and turn the page. You’ll need:

  • A large hard-cover book
  • 2 pieces of paper
  • 2 pieces of black ribbon

Write your name on one piece of paper, and your partner on the other. Fold each one in half, and draw an X on the outside. Open the book about 1/3 of the way in, and place the piece of paper with your name on it, along with one strip of ribbon. Open the book again, about 1/3 from the back, and do the same with the other person’s name and ribbon.

Now close the book, and hold it above your head. Loudly repeat the following words:

A page to turn,
A lesson to learn,
No fire to burn,
Love to spurn.

Leave the book overnight, and then you have to carry it with you (with ribbon and papers in place) next time you see the other person. They don’t necessarily have to see it or know you have it, you just need it with you.

After that, put the book under your bed, face down. Within a week, the other person should start to consider breaking up.

To Rend Apart

This is a break-up spell intended to be directed at 2 other people than yourself.

  • A glass jar or bottle
  • A teaspoon or so of black pepper
  • Black paint
  • A hammer

Paint their names on the outside of the jar, along with the word “finis”. Pour the black pepper inside, and shake it around. Take the jar outside, and leave it until midnight. Then, smash it with a hammer (do this over a cloth so you don’t have loose glass bits everywhere). Gather up the pieces and throw it all in the garbage.
