How do I End a Spell

Q. How do I end a spell?

Part of the Spells FAQ

A. Following the instructions to cast a spell is one thing, but people never seem to know what to do afterwards. Once the spell is complete and you have left it for as long as you need to, you have to handle the remaining items the right way.

Tools, cloth and crystals can be cleansed in moonlight or pure running water and used for your next ritual. Herbs, fruit, or paper can be buried, as can small candle stubs. You can also reuse the candles for lighting or other non-magickal purposes if they are long enough. Don’t re-use them in another spell though or you will bring the wrong energy or purpose to your next ritual.
