Tarot Spells
Tarot spells are a less common way of doing a ritual but the imagery of a Tarot card can be a powerful tool in your spells. Both of these spells require that you have a deck, or at least one card from a Tarot deck but you can use any deck you like.
Tarot Wish Spell
This is a great multi-purpose Tarot spell that can be adapted to just about any intention. You just have to change the focal card to suit your needs.
- A Tarot card that represents your wish
- One white candle
- A piece of clear quartz
- White yarn or string
If you’re not familiar with the Tarot, you’ll have to go online to find a list of meanings for the cards. The Aeclectic Tarot site has a good list though you do have to read through all the cards. Then again, a little extra effort makes your spell more powerful, doesn’t it?
Ok, once you have a card, you can begin. Tie the yarn around the card and set it on your altar. Light the candle nearby and hold the crystal in your hand. Focus on the card and what the images on the card represent with regard to your wish (read up on the card so you do actually know what you’re looking at). Hold the image of the card in your mind while you speak your wish out loud.
At this point set the stone down on top of the card, and leave the candle burning on your altar. Once the candle is burned down, put the card under your pillow and sleep with it there each night until your wish comes true.
Tarot Reading Spell
If you are just getting started doing Tarot readings, this little spell can help you improve your skills at reading the cards. It also works as a great Tarot card blessing when you get a new deck.
- Your Tarot card deck
- Piece of purple fabric (paper will do)
- 1 piece of amethyst
Take the cards out of the box and put them on your altar (or wherever you’re doing this Tarot spell). Drape the purple fabric over the cards, and repeat the following several times:
Bring sight to my cards,
Open my eyes.
Bring sight to my cards,
Open my mind.
Set the crystal on top of the cards and leave everything there for 3 days. After that, store your cards wrapped in the purple material to help you with your future readings.
