Magic Word Spells

This page of magic word spells is a little different. These are ways to make magick without all the “ingredients” and it focuses only on your words. It’s an option for casting spells when you simply don’t have the stuff and just need some magic words to help you out. They aren’t as powerful without the added energy you get from the herbs and crystals, but you’ll still see results if you really pour your heart into them.

A Call of Love

This is a love spell using only words and your own sincere intentions. Face to the west (the direction associated with love and emotions) and raise your hands to the air. Repeat the following, out loud if possible.

I call on Aphrodite, on Isis, on Freya

Hear the sound of my own heart

Hear my call.

I ask to be blessed with love,

That my heart’s partner be found

I ask to be blessed with love,

As my magick spirals round.

Thank you great Goddesses,

I welcome your assistance

In my search for love.

After speaking the spell, concentrate on the outcome you are hoping for, and give your energy to your purpose.

Spoken Protection Charm

You speak this spell at the front door to your home, to protect your space from negative energy or evil spells. Face outward, and repeat:

Begone all dark energy

Begone all spirits unclean

Begone all negativity

And leave my home unseen

Turn around, and now face into the room and say the chant again.

Doing this little magic word spell once a week will add some strong protection magick to your home.

Words of Abundance

And one last spell to help with the financial aspect of life. Stand in your kitchen for this, though anywhere will do. Repeat these words:

I ask for an abundance blessing

To bring further wealth to my home.

It’s not from greed or selfishness

But for needs that are my own.

For wealth, abundance, success

I ask the universe to bless.

That’s all there is to it.

I suppose that without the added elements, these magic word spells are more like prayers than spells. At any rate, it’s a good way to do some magick when you don’t have any materials at hand.
